Vaughnette Jones, MD

Vaughnette Jones, M.D. là một bác sĩ nhi khoa có hơn 20 năm kinh nghiệm trong ngành Nhi khoa, chuyên cung cấp dịch vụ chăm sóc trẻ sơ sinh cho thanh thiếu niên. Cô có năng lực trong các lĩnh vực đa dạng như ADD, ADHD, ODD.

Cô đã lấy bằng y khoa của mình từ Đại học Y khoa Meharry ở Nashville, TN và hoàn thành thực tập và cư trú tại Trung tâm Y tế Quốc gia của Trẻ em ở Washington, DC.

Bác sĩ Jones đã làm việc tại Phòng khám Mayo ở Rochester, MN cũng như được thực hành riêng ở New Jersey và Pennsylvania trước khi chuyển đến Georgia.

Cô đã kết hôn với người yêu đại học của mình trong hơn 20 năm và họ có một con trai bị ràng buộc đại học. Cô thích nghệ thuật bao gồm khiêu vũ và bảo tàng và thích dành thời gian với gia đình và nấu ăn cùng chồng.

Vickie Jones, MD

Vickie Jones, M.D. is originally from Nashville, TN and a graduate of Tennessee State University and Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She completed her pediatric training at David Grant USAF Medical Center at Travis AFB, CA and spent 12 years in the USAF taking care of military dependents.

Dr. Jones has been board-certified in pediatrics since 1989 and has over 30 years’ experience in pediatrics which has contributed to her excellent rapport with patients and parents alike. Her special interests are the prevention and management of childhood obesity and asthma.

Dr. Jones will be joining our Tucker practice beginning June 19, 2019. She welcomes new and expecting moms.

Shweta Maheshwari, D.O.

Dr. Shweta Maheshwari, D.O., received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan and her medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. She did her Pediatric Residency at Case Western MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and was asked to stay on as a Faculty Member and the Chief Resident.

Dr. Maheshwari has a true passion for caring for children. Since the young age of 7, she would run around taking care of the neighborhood kids in which she took so much pride. She has always wanted to become a Pediatrician and her passion has since never wavered. As a Pediatrician, Dr. Maheshwari works to educate and empower patients and their families to become the best versions of themselves and develop and maintain healthy lifestyles and habits. Other areas of focus in her career have been behavioral concerns and ADHD.

New to Daffodil Pediatrics and the Atlanta region, Dr. Maheshwari grew up in Riverview, Michigan and has always loved communities with a small-town feel. She is looking forward to being one of the area pediatricians helping to care for the youngest members of the community. She also speaks Hindi and Spanish.

Dr. Maheshwari is very close to her family. She's excited to spend time with her two sweet little nephews and of course her brother and sister-in-law who live in Atlanta. In her free time, Dr. Maheshwari enjoys volleyball, basketball, bowling, dancing, drawing, photography, TV, movies, and cheering on the Michigan Wolverines football team!

Morine Woodhouse, FNP

Morine Woodhouse was born in Jamaica West Indies, and later migrated to the United States. Mrs. Woodhouse began her nursing career by first earning her Associate in Applied Science in Nursing from Hostos Community College Bronx, NY in 2002. While working as a Registered Nurse in hospitals and nursing homes, Mrs. Woodhouse elected to further her education and later secured her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, NY.

Although Mrs. Woodhouse was a dedicated Registered Nurse for several years, she decided to advance her career and education even further. In 2016, she acquired her Master of Science Degree with a concentration in Family Nursing from Lehman College Bronx, NY while being on the Dean’s list. After graduation, Mrs. Woodhouse studied for several months before sitting for her AANP national board certification, to which she passed with flying colors. Mrs. Woodhouse excelled as a Family Nurse Practitioner in New York prior to relocating to the state of Georgia where she’s currently practicing.

Aside from being a loving Family Nurse Practitioner, Mrs. Woodhouse is also a wife and mother. Additionally, she is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner Association and American Nurses Associations. Mrs. Woodhouse is a great team player, provides top-quality care to her patients with great emphasis in educating her patients and parents, treating them with dignity, and overall taking great pride and joy in her profession.

Join us September 9, 2019, in welcoming the latest addition of the Daffodil Pediatrics and Family Medicine provider team. Mrs. Woodhouse will be primarily overseeing the asthma program but will also be available to provide care to patients of all visit types.

The clingy infant arrives around 10 months of age, and parents know when they see it. Suddenly, leaving the child’s line of sight causes the little one great distress—thanks in part to the child's undeveloped sense of time and lack of experience with a parent's absence. Forbidding children from eating foods doesn't work. When children think that a food is forbidden by their parents, the food often becomes more desirable.
